Joyce Medlock
First Lady
Rev. Joyce C. Medlock, “Joyful”
First Lady Medlock accepted the Lord as her personal Savior in 1984 at New Home Baptist Church. She embodies the heart of a servant-leader, with the conviction to live by the principles of God’s Word. Rev. Medlock was licensed to preach at New Home on March 31, 2001, and ordained May 22, 2005. She humbly serves with her husband preaching, teaching, giving spiritual direction, leadership, counseling, and promoting synergy across the ministry.
She has completed several Christian growth studies at Washington Bible College, Certification in MasterLife Discipleship, Lay Counseling from the Heart Connection ministry, course training on Teacher Curriculum, and numerous other development training at New Home.
First Lady Joyful completed her degree in Business at University of Phoenix in 2011 and Certification in Early Childhood Education at Stanly Community College in 2011, while obtaining a business license to open Little Lights Daycare, LLC, in Charlotte, NC. She has a wealth of experience in operations management which span across a few industries that include graduate MBA executive programs, clinical practice, geriatric nursing facilities, and Christian ministries.
She was blessed to assist in the planting and development of Resurrection Life Community Church (RLCC) in Charlotte, NC for over sixteen years from 2006-2022, and graced to serve as Business Administrator, Director of Christian Education, and in several other capacities. Many souls were saved and built up and doors were opened for speaking engagements at life changing women’s conferences across North Carolina before returning home in January, 2021.
RLCC will forever be etched in her heart, legacy, and family as they continue to provide spiritual wisdom and oversight.
First Lady has been married for almost 40 years to Pastor Anthony Medlock, who she devotedly loves. Their quiver is full with four adult children, four bonus children by marriage, and five cherished grandchildren that fill her heart with promise. Joyful, as she loves to be called, believes it’s our spiritual assignment not just to know the Word of God, but to live out our faith as a living epistle for all men to read, and pass on a godly example from generation to generation.
